Supporting Perceval at a Sold-Out Elysée Montmartre – A Night to Remember!
Posted: 15-Jan-2025
On the 11th of January, 2025, I had the incredible honour of performing the support slot for PERCEVAL at the iconic Elysée Montmartre in Paris! It was a sold-out show, and the energy in the room was truly unforgettable.
I performed all my own original music alongside my talented friend Philip Dunphy, sharing songs straight from the heart with such an amazing audience.
To top it off, I joined Perceval on stage to play "Into the Light", "Joyeux Gaulois", and "Troubadour" – such a surreal moment performing these pieces with him.
Thank you to everyone who was there and made the night so special. Moments like this remind me why I love what I do.

My Trips to Oslo, Norway
Posted: 16-Jun-2024
This June, I had the incredible opportunity to return to Oslo, Norway for the eighth time, performing a series of gigs with the talented band Kesh. From the 12th to the 15th, we brought high-energy Irish music to the vibrant city, playing four unforgettable shows at The Dubliner Folk Pub. This venue, known for its lively atmosphere and appreciation of folk music, was the perfect setting for our performances.
As always, I was on the Uilleann Pipes and whistles, adding that distinctive Irish sound to our sets. James Walsh, our charismatic singer and guitarist, captivated the audience with his soulful vocals and dynamic guitar playing. James Fleming provided the rhythmic backbone with his bass and harmonizing vocals, while Fergal McCarthy kept the beats alive with his exceptional drumming skills. Together, we created a magical musical experience that resonated with the Oslo crowd.
Our time at The Dubliner Folk Pub was filled with energy and enthusiasm, as we played up-tempo Irish tunes that had everyone dancing and singing along. The camaraderie and passion within the band were palpable, and it translated into an electrifying atmosphere that made each gig memorable. The audience's warm reception and the pub's inviting ambiance made it a highlight of our musical journey.
This wasn't my first time in Oslo this year. Just two months prior, I had the pleasure of performing with another fantastic band, The Sham Rocks. That trip was also a great success, further solidifying my love for this city and its appreciation for Irish music.
I am eagerly looking forward to returning to Oslo next year. The city's charm, the warmth of its people, and the joy of sharing our music in such a welcoming environment make each visit special. Until then, I'll be cherishing the memories and working on new tunes to bring back to this wonderful city. Thank you, Oslo, for your incredible support and enthusiasm. See you next year!
