About Aaron

I’m Aaron Dolan, a multi-award-winning musician and composer from County Cork, Ireland, now based in South Germany, I've spent years bringing Irish music to European audiences who perhaps never expected to find themselves moved by the sound of the uilleann pipes — and that never gets old. I grew up surrounded by Irish traditional music, and the uilleann pipes quickly became the voice through which I could express stories, emotion, and heritage.

Over the years I’ve blended that traditional foundation with wider influences, exploring new directions while keeping the heart of Irish music at the centre. My work has reached audiences worldwide, from topping the U.S. iTunes Instrumental Charts with Outlawed Tunes on Outlawed Pipes, to performing at L'Olympia in Paris, to releasing Farewell to Tir Na nÓg which earned top-10 positions in both Ireland and the U.S.

Whether on stage or in the studio, my focus has always been the same: creating music that feels honest, atmospheric, and deeply rooted in where I come from.

My Journey
Musical Style

My sound lives somewhere between old and new — traditional Irish instruments that build from cinematic, atmospheric soundscapes into driving Celtic techno. The uilleann pipes, low whistles, and Irish flutes form the core, but a live set can take you from haunting stillness to something primal and electronic before you know it's happened. Whether performing as a solo act with backing tracks or with the full trio, that journey from ancient and atmospheric to something bold and electronic is always at the heart of the show.

I’m inspired by the landscapes and stories of Ireland as much as by contemporary soundtrack music, and I try to bring those worlds together. This blend has resonated with a growing global audience — including a quarter-million followers on TikTok — who connect with the atmosphere, emotion, and storytelling at the heart of what I do.
